This is your best video yet Dani! A NEW bookcase! Wow I'm sure it wasn't long ago you had another one lol. Have you managed to fill it with all the books that are under the bed.......... mmmmm I'm sure your floor will be caving in soon!!!

Lots of wonderful books this week, I am very envious of some of them - The Peculiars and Shift sound interesting. I can't believe you have a Mills and Book that will be a first, believe it or not I have read a couple in my time and they were not that bad.... a little steamy and lovely dovey but not bad.

Have a great time at the Rachel Caine signing, I'm sorry I couldn't come to this one. But I am very much looking forward to the Fforde Fiesta in a couple of weeks time.

Hugs xxx Jen xx

Your so bubbly, I love it ((: Congrats on your new book shelf, I KNOW you will fill all of it soon enough ;D I do call myself the contemporary whore, contemporary is my FAVORITE genre in both adult & YA♥ Jennifer Echols is a GREAT choice, though I have not read Forget You, Going too Far (one of my absolute ALL TIME favorites) Love Story & Such a Rush (this one is not released yet) are just so so so amazing! Happy reading :D

I'll looking forward to your reviews on The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and Wolf Whisperer. Especially the latter. I wanna know if you think it's something for The Hunger Games fans, they I'd probably pick it up. =)
Very great haul! Happy reading!

I think splurge is a word. Pretty positive!

I love getting new bookcases. Actually.. I don't do it much. Until we moved in here all I had was a squashed little room so when we moved in here we got lots of bookcases. Which are now close to needing to be double stacked. And there's no space for a new one unless I risk wall shelving. Nngh. But I did rearrange them a little the other day! Dusted and polished and made sure everything was in the right place. Yay.

Undone. Ooh I want to get hold of that series too. Funnily enough, Weather Wardens is the one I haven't read of hers (despite being more of an adult reader) though I do have books 1-6. Still need to grab 7-9 and get started because I adore Rachel Caine. Working Stiff was amazing, Morganville was amazing, and I don't doubt her other two series are amazing.

And I understand the genre splurge thing.. I really do. I've been totally splurging on chick lit lately. Wondering what my next genre binge will be.

Oh and re: the Mills and Boon - it might be okay. I'm always a bit iffy of "similar to X!" and highly doubt it's anything like Hunger Games but it sounds okay. *touch wood*.. bad choice of words considering.. ;)

Hannah @ Dragons and Whimsy said...

PS. Yeesh that was quite a comment. Oo

Dani Cotton said...

Hannah - Hahahah! *Touch wood* ... yeah that may have been an unfortunate choice of words! :P Made me laugh though!

I'm also a little suspicious of the 'Good for fans of the Hunger Games' thing, but I'm still willing to give it a go. I've read some pretty steamy Dark Fantasy/Paranormal Romance before (even though it's not labelled as Mills & Boon), and it was okay. So I'll give it a go. As long as the writer is more than competent, I'm sure we'll be fine!

Racquel - I am really looking forward to Forget You. I have Such a Rush on my wishlist too, but as you say, it's not out yet!

Jen - I haven't filled it yet! Still have most of the top shelf and the two bottom shelves to go. And because I've been moving stuff around, I have a couple of gaps on my other bookcases too! :P
I haven't taken everything from under my bed though ... I wanted mostly YA/Fantasy/Science fiction on my newer bookcases (and no, the other wasn't too long ago... I got it at the beginning of February :P BUT it was around the time that I got in contact with the publishers :P so that explains it!)
The Peculiars and Shift are yours when I'm done! :)

I still love your accent. And your bookcase. <3

John Green is someone whose books I'd like to pick up in the future - I haven't read The Fault In Our Stars yet but I'd love to.

I've been thinking about catching up with YA contemps this summer as well - they're sort of the books you want to pick up during the summer holidays, aren't they? :D

I'm so glad you got On The Fringe and that you won it - I knew you wanted to read it so I'm glad the book found a great home :D Love the lip gloss idea!

Dani Cotton said...

Haha, thank you, Vicky! :P I think you should do a video at some stage, so I can hear and adore yours too!!
The bookcase is still looking sad and empty-ish! I need to sort this out! I have books ordered, but they're all pre-orders, and loads of them don't come out until September/October (including The Evolution of Mara Dyer - which I'm DYING to read!).
The wait is going to kill me!

YA contemps are definitely summer reading, and I'm really looking forward to them! I have loads of cool fantasy/sci-fi stuff to read as well though!

Yes! Thank you so much for the On the Fringe giveaway! I'm so excited that I won! It has taken pride of place on my new bookcase (right next to The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight - they look great together!)
Will let you know when I've read & reviewed it :D
(Also, the lip gloss smells AMAZING! I keep pouting so I can smell it :P)

I also got Promises a month ago! I love the cover! Also, it seems like I don't really like John Green's book. I didn't really like Paper Towns, nor The Fault in Our Stars. :D

Also, your accent is SO cool :D

Great haul Dani! How is it possible that you have a half empty bookshelf? Mine is more than full and a lot bigger than yours and I need another one but don't have space for it :(
Hope you will enjoy your books and fill you shelf soon with lots of great reads.
Love your videos btw.
Have a nice Sunday,
