I'll share my physical books with you first and then tell you a little about the eBooks I got this week.

Eve by Anna Carey

I read the first chapter of this when it arrived yesterday and it does have me intrigued already, so it's looking promising. I saw it earlier in the week when it was reviewed on another book blog, and I decided to give it a go. I managed to get it really cheaply off Amazon UK (I think it was about £3.70, which is excellent considering the book is $10 in the US). I don't read too many books that are set in the future either, so I'm looking forward to a change of pace with this one.
The cover is also really beautiful, so it looks great with the rest of my collection!
The Taker by Alma Katsu

Family Magic by Patti Larsen

This is an eBook I spotted for a blog tour, but I wasn't in time to sign up for the tour. I decided to take part through someone else's blog though, and have bought the book from Smashwords so I can take part in the giveaway at the end of the end of the tour. This is obviously not the only reason I bought the book - it fits with my recent interest in Witches, which I now have a lot to read about. It's only 86p on Amazon UK, or $0.99 on Smashwords, so it's really cheap if you want to try it out too :)
The Legacy of Eden by Nelle Davy

This is the first book I got accepted on NetGalley this week, which I'm really looking forward to - it looks like a really interesting read. Fingers crossed I'll be able to fit a review for this one in before it's released in January.
New Girl by Paige Harbison

This is the second review copy I had accepted from NetGalley this week, and another that looks really interesting! I think I'm looking forward to this one a little more than The Legacy of Eden simply because I do like the books I read to have a small element of romance. But I'm looking forward to both, so I'm keeping fingers crossed that I'll have time for both before they're published.
What books did you get in your mailbox this week? Let me know in the comments below :)

Oh I love those covers for His Dark Materials - great find! I've got the original covers and I'm pretty attached to them because they are made of a kind of paper you can fold right back and the spine doesn't crack. I've also have Eve on my wishlist for quite some time now but I can't decide if I should read it so I's love to know what you think.
New follower!

Wow - you had a great week! I have Eve in my Amazon shopping cart and have just recently heard of New Girl. Happy reading!! :)
Brilliant selection again! Some of those covers are excellent. I'm tying to do my own covers for publication next yr but it's not easy! I am untrained however - expect it's easy if you know how :D You must read really fast to great through all these. It amazes me the difference between people in reading speed. Friend of mine reads six books a week? A d does a full-time job?
Happy reading. :D
