New Monday feature: Quote of the Week

I have been thinking over the last week of interesting weekly features that I could post on my blog. So, this week I shall be starting a couple of them. Quote of the Week will be featured every Monday, and I will find a quote, either from a book, or about books to post, that seems relevant or interesting.

This week's quote is from Jane Austen's Persuasion:

(From page 140 of Penguin Classics edition, published 2003)

I used to really not like Jane Austin when I was in college (thanks to a really bad lit class :) As I've gotten older though, I have realized that I actually like many of the books that I once didn't care for :) New follower from blogaholic, have a great week! You can find me at

I have to say, when I started reading Persuasion for uni, I was not a fan at all, and didn't like it before now, but it is getting easier.
I am already one of your followers :)

I have to read Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice for uni, so I don't have a choice haha! I think I have a copy of Sense and Sensibility somewhere as well!
I will admit that once I got through the first 30% of Persuasion, it got a little easier to read and I'm not finding it as bad any more. Still not my preferred read, but not too bad. And then I found this quote, and well ... you can see I was impressed! xx
