I really think this debut by Erin Morgenstern is worthy of its own post. How can you read the synopsis of this book and not be excited by the novel's possibilities?
A year ago, if someone had presented me a novel about a circus, I would have been wholeheartedly sceptical. Now however, I have an entirely different outlook. This is exactly the manner with which I approached Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen - I thought "how interesting can a novel about the circus really be?", but as it turns out, it can be very interesting, exciting, compelling and beautiful. Water for Elephants has turned out to be one of my favourite reads of this year so far, and it will be difficult to beat!
So I am welcoming this novel with an open mind, heart and open arms (although it will be entirely different from Gruen's work).
Pre-publication reviews on Waterstones.com from both customers and my fellow booksellers suggest that this will not be a novel to miss!

I know you are supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I love the cover of this book. It is so cool! I was a huge fan of "Water for Elephants," I just wished I had read it while the movie was still in theaters.

I know! The cover is fantastic!!
And I'm liking the love for Water for Elephants :) It was a beautiful book! I saw the film while it was still at the cinema, and obviously it didn't do the book justice. It didn't make me angry like the adaptation of 'The Lovely Bones' did though, which is a good sign :P
