It's my Blogoversary!! **Signed** Gail Carriger Books Giveaway!

So, today is the today!
Pen to Paper is one year old!
I believe more celebrations (and a cake!) are in order, and this means, one final, incredible, giveaway. I have run two more giveaways, throughout the week, both of which can be found HERE. We've had a giveaway of a signed copy of Entice by Jessica Shirvinton, a signed copy of A Witch in Love by Ruth Warburton, and the books for this giveaway are also signed! (We wouldn't want to break the pattern now, would we?!)
So what's up for grabs, on Pen to Paper's first birthday?! Stick with me, and you'll find out!

Soulless (Parasol Protectorate #1)
by Gail Carriger
Pages: 320
Publisher: Orbit
Release: 2nd September 2010
Goodreads Page

Goodreads synopsis:
First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.

Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire - and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.

With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?

Timeless (Parasol Protectorate #5)
by Gail Carriger
Pages: 384
Publisher: Orbit
Release: 1st March 2012
Goodreads Page

Goodreads synopsis:

If you have not read the previous books in this series, do not read the following synopsis, as it does contain spoilers!

Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle. Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?

Gail and I, back in March
So, as I said at the top of the post, both of these books are signed by the author. I got them signed personally, when I went to meet her, with Jenny from Chocolate Chunky Munkie, back in March.
I read Soulless, earlier in the year, and I can safely say that it is one of the funniest books I have ever read! You can read my review HERE. (I also interviewed her, which is definitely worth a read! Click here to go to the post). I'm yet to read more in the series, but I definitely plan on reading the second one, before 2012 draws to a close!

Why do I have books 1 & 5 as a giveaway (a weird combination, surely?!), you might ask. Well, they are going to be given away separately. If you've not come across this series yet, then you can enter for book 1 (and book 5, if you wish, but if you win the latter, you're going to have to buy 4 other books - although, this probably won't put you off :P Just don't read the blurb!). However, if you are already familiar with the series, and have already read book one, then you can enter for the fifth and final book in the series.
Either way, I've got you covered ;)

Now for the slightly boring bit... the rules of the giveaway. I know it's boring, but please read carefully.

  • You must be a follower of Pen to Paper via Google Friend Connect (GFC) to enter. This giveaway is for my wonderful followers, so why not become one of them?
  • The giveaway is international, so anyone can enter.
  • There are optional entries available for this giveaway. They are optional, but could mean the difference between you winning, or someone else taking the prize.
If you enter for the optional entries, please make sure you fulfill each task in full, otherwise your entry will not count.
  • I will email the giveaway winners when the contest is over. These lucky followers will then have 48 hours to reply to my email, with the correct information, in order to claim their prize. If I get no response within this time period, that person will forfeit their prize, and another winner will be drawn.
  • Please do not leave your email address anywhere on Pen to Paper. I use Rafflecopter to keep your details safe, so please take advantage of that.
  • The giveaway will end on September 30th 2012, at 23:59 EST.
That's the boring bit out of the way. Now all that's left to do, is check that you're following via Google Friend Connect, and get entering in the Rafflecopter below :) Good luck to all of you!
