In my Mailbox #11

I got quite a good amount of books this week - well enough to be able to share some with all of you anyway!
As always, I start with any physical books I got this week and then move onto the eBooks.

Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson

I won this one from a Christmas giveaway from Rebecca @ Reading Wishes. When I won the giveaway, I didn't know which book I would be getting as Rebecca said she would be sending me a surprise from my goodreads wishlist. I am so glad that she chose this one - I'd wanted it for a while now.
It comes with Rebecca's recommendation, so I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

At work I have been asked to select 2 non-fiction and 2 fiction titles that I am going to challenge myself to read and review in 2012, and this is one of the fiction titles I've chosen. I'd seen it around the shop before, and thought it looked interesting, and I've also seen some really positive reviews from my fellow book bloggers, but I'd not decided to pick it up. When a colleague at work said we needed someone to choose a teen fiction book to review, I volunteered, and chose this one.
We shall see if it lives up to its reputation.

Under the Moon by Natalie J. Damschroder

This is the first of 3 titles that I received this week from Netgalley. I chose to request this one because it sounds quite different from any other fantasy title I've read - I don't think I've read a single book that has Goddesses in them at all, so this one will definitely be different from my usual reading.

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armintrout

This is the second that I had accepted from Netgalley in the last week, and another that I've heard really good things about from my fellow bloggers, so I'm really excited about reading it.
Science fiction isn't something I read too much of (with fantasy being my preferred genre), but I am looking forward to this one. I should be getting around to this one sometime in the new year.

Fractured Light by Rachel McClellan

This is the final eBook that I received from Netgalley this week, but it was one that I requested because I was accepted onto the blog tour for the book by the publishers, Cedar Fort.
I will be reviewing this book as part of the tour on December 29th, and interviewing the lovely Rachel McClellan on the 30th, which will include a giveaway of the book and another, very special surprise. You'll have to wait to see what the surprise will be - for now my lips are sealed!

Congrats on winning Hunting Lila! I keep looking at it, but haven't added it to my TBR yet. Maybe I should do that now. :)

Wow some great books there Dani! I did not have a single book come in this week - shock!!! Mind you with a tbr pile topping 1,300 I can't complain.

At least you have a break in your uni work to get some read.
