Book Blogger Hop #3

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme/blog hop hosted by Crazy For Books. Each week a new question will be posted for each blogger taking part to answer in their own blog post.
To take part, you must post your own blog post before linking up to the linky list at Crazy for Books.

For more information on this week's hop click here.

This week's question is:
"What is your favourite type of candy?"

I'm not quite sure that this really has any particular relevance to book blogging, but I will post this all the same, as I am a huge fan of Halloween, despite how little we celebrate it here in England.
I have a mega sweet tooth, and crave sugary things pretty much 24/7. I love Orange chocolate, particularly Orange club bars (if all my readers know what they are). But although it's not quite 'candy', I also really love Bananas in custard, or Treacle sponge/sticky toffee pudding and custard.
But I have to say, without blowing modesty completely out of the window, the sweet things I like eating the most are the cakes I bake myself - there is something ultimately satisfying about making something like that from scratch - just a pile of flour, butter, sugar and some egg (and a little more...) makes something really delicious! And I stand by my previous statement that baking is magic. So to loop this back round to books - this is my absolute Baking Bible:

I honestly recommend that all baking enthusiasts reading this go out and buy this.
To make this relevant to all readers, click here to view it on The Book Depository. It is also available at Waterstone's online, and on Amazon!

I could never develop the taste for orange chocolate. Milk chocolate is my #1 favorite, dark chocolate a distant second and white chocolate takes third place. Orange chocolate just doesn't make my list. But, hey, to each their own! There are thousands of kinds of candy to cater to so many different takes.

But my #1 favorite? Peanut butter cups!

Hop on over to my book blog at for a seasonal peanut butter cup commercial.

Orange chocolate is definitely a favourite of mine! Followed by white chocolate - which I can't believe I didn't think of earlier when I was writing my post!!

I really like roasted peanuts, but I could never really get a taste for peanut butter - I even tried making peanut butter and chocolate chip muffins - still no luck!! I'll stick to eating them out of a bag :)

I can vouch that your cakes are yum! I like chocolate orange, we normally have a Terry's Chocolate Orange for Christmas. By mid morning it's normally been scoffed :D

Now when I was in the US I tried those Reeses(?) peanut butter cups, OMG they were to die for. I had a little dance in the supermarket the other day as we now have them in the UK. My husband was laughing his head off. I did think about filling the trolley but I held back lol.

Mhhhmm! I love getting the Terry's chocolate orange for Christmas!! I do feel sick if I eat the whole thing in one though!!

I've never tried the Reese's peanut butter cups though, maybe I should.
I know what to get you for Christmas now Jen - a trolley full of Reese's! :D

Oh, man... I LOVE orange chocolate. I never admit to having any in case someone might find my stash. And I am with you on white chocolate, too. TOTALLY.

I'm a new follower... and my hop is here:
