Wishlist Wednesday #3

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Please add the blog hop button to your blog somewhere, so others can find it easily and join in too! Help spread the word! The code will be at the bottom of the post under the linky.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://vogue-pentopaper.blogspot.com) somewhere in your post.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

Firelight by Sophie Jordan
Waterstone's synopsis:
Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. She longs for the freedom to make her own choices, but when she breaks the 'no flying' rule, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki, a descendant of dragons whose greatest defence is her secret ability to shift into human form. And her rare ability to breathe fire makes her desirable, and important, to the survival of the draki. Forced to flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. There she meets gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knows Will's dark secret: he and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slipping away, and if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She'll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.

This one was added to my wishlist for the first time about 6 months ago, but I removed it for a little while because I was unsure about whether I would enjoy the premise of the book or not. I recently added it again because I've decided that I won't know until I try! It sounds like no other book I've read before, which is wonderful - I'm always on the look-out for more unique books! Dragons are not something I read about very often, so I'm hoping to get this one on the shelves very soon!

Great blog hop, my first time joining in. That certainly sounds an exciting and different read with people turning into dragons and breathing fire!

There are a few other blog hops that I have on the left side of my blog under Wishlist Wednesday. There are 3 for Friday! So if you have a look at them, you can join in some blog hops before Wednesday rolls around :)

Dani :)
