Wishlist Wednesday #2

After a fair amount of popularity last week when I posted my first Wishlist Wednesday, I have decided to make it into a meme, so other bloggers can join in and link up their blogs!

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://vogue-pentopaper.blogspot.com) somewhere in your post.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

My Wishlist Wednesday book

Deliverance from Evil by Frances Hill

Waterstone's synopsis:
Salem, Massachusetts, Winter 1692: In the parsonage of Reverend Samuel Parris, two young girls are seated by the fire and play at fortune-telling as snow falls softly outside. What starts as a game sends one of the girls into a hysterical trance, and a small town begins its descent into madness. Accusations of witchcraft would destroy lives and old scores would be settled. Over 150 people would be arrested and imprisoned, with even more accused of consorting with the devil. In "Deliverance from Evil," Frances Hill brings her deep historical and political understanding together with her honed skills as a novelist to produce a picture of the Salem witch trials both realistic and emotional.

I've chosen this one for my wishlist because despite my interest in the Salem witch trials, I haven't actually read too much about them, fiction or non-fiction, so I thought this might make an interesting read, despite being in the Crime Fiction genre. I don't tend to read too much Crime either, so it's always a slightly different read when I do decide to get into some mysteries. This is also on my wishlist because I spotted it at work once, but didn't have money with me to buy it, and when I went back in for my next shift, it had been bought, so onto the wishlist it went!

I'm trying to promote it now, but I haven't had much time today - I was training at uni and helping out at the fresher's fair, so really haven't had much time for me today. By next week though, hopefully more people will know about it!
