Wishlist Wednesday #65

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Please consider adding the blog hop button to your blog somewhere, so others can find it easily and join in too! Help spread the word! The code will be at the bottom of the post under the linky.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://www.pentopaperblog.com) somewhere in your post, and a note saying that Pen to Paper is the host of the meme.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2)
by Katie McGarry

Goodreads synopsis:
"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all....

Pushing the Limits, the first book to this, is almost definitely my favourite read of 2012. I was obsessed with it, and still am, even though I read it months ago! So of course, this was going to appear on Wishlist Wednesday sooner or later!
Beth's character wasn't a particularly prominent one in Pushing the Limits, but she was still interesting, and I can't wait to read her story. Hopefully the chemistry between her and Ryan in this, will be as potent as it was between Echo and Noah in Pushing the Limits!

I still have to read Pushing the Limits. So many series to start. The second installment looks super promising as well. Thanks for sharing it and thanks for hosting. This is my first time participating in Wishlist Wednesday.

I read Pushing the Limits and enjoyed it, it wasn't really a favourite though >.< I couldn't stand the inappropriate swearing, the book could really have gone without it. I'll have to hear from my blogging buddies if it contains too much swearing, before I buy it.

I haven't read Pushing the Limits but have heard so much great stuff about it, just not sure if it's my kind of book.

Becca, I wasn't sure it would be my kind of book either, but it really surprised me. I loved it! Give it a go, I say! Think it's still 20p on kindle at the moment! X
