Wishlist Wednesday #59

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Please consider adding the blog hop button to your blog somewhere, so others can find it easily and join in too! Help spread the word! The code will be at the bottom of the post under the linky.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://www.pentopaperblog.com) somewhere in your post, and a note saying that Pen to Paper is the host of the meme.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

Fractured (Slated #2)
by Teri Terry

Goodreads synopsis:
Kyla's memory has been erased, her personality wiped blank, her memories lost for ever. Or so she thought. Kyla shouldn't be able to remember anything. But she can - and she's beginning to realise that there are a lot of dark secrets locked away in her memories. When a mysterious man from her past comes back into her life, she thinks she's on her way to finding the truth. But the more she learns about her history, the more confusing her future becomes...Set in a disturbing future world, FRACTURED is an engrossing, fast-paced read that establishes Teri Terry as a master thriller writer.

I read Slated, the first book in this series, earlier this year, and I really loved it. I think it's one of the most creative new dystopians I've read recently, and I can't wait to find out what happens in Fractured! This won't actually be published until May in the UK, and later (I'm assuming, seeing as they don't have the first book yet) in the US, but I'm already getting impatient! I think it'll be really interesting to find out what else Kyla will uncover, and where her adventures will take her.
If you haven't read Slated yet, you definitely need to, and then you will be looking forward to this one as much as I am!

What's on your wishlist this week? Let us know in the comments below, or link to your own Wishlist Wednesday post in the Linky below :)

Great choice! I've been wondering whether to buy Slated or not but now you've recommended it I'll definitely pick it up soon! This book sounds quite similar to Mystic City which I've just finished reading and really enjoyed :)

I love how similar the cover is to the first one. They definitely look like a set. Slated is on my TBR and I can't wait to read it, especially after hearing how much you enjoyed it! =)
