Goodreads synopsis:
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

The First Page

My Thoughts...

If you haven't already seen/heard me talking about this book, and how amazing it is, where have you been?! This has, without any doubt, gone down on my list of favourite books of the year, it's so good!
Even though I didn't think this book would be an incredible read, like it turned out to be, when I first started reading it, I was absolutely gripped from this very first page. Page one shows the style of the novel really well - it's so well described, but in such a non-intrusive way (meaning that you can still use your own imagination, but certain things are interjected - like with the stench of cheap coffee and sharpened pencils, on this page), which gives the book so much more depth, and makes it feel much more real.
This first page also sets the tone of the novel really well, even though we're yet to meet Noah, or see Noah and Echo together.

I just really love this book, and if I haven't already managed to convince you to read it, then I hope that reading this first page will!
