Wishlist Wednesday #16

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?

My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares

Goodreads synopsis:
Daniel has spent centuries falling in love with the same girl. Life after life, crossing continents and dynasties, he and Sophia (despite her changing name and form) have been drawn together-and he remembers it all. For all the times that he and Sophia have been connected throughout history, they have also been torn painfully, fatally, apart.

But just when Sophia (now "Lucy" in the present) finally awakens to the secret of their shared past, the mysterious force that has always separated them reappears. Ultimately, they must come to understand what stands in the way of their love if they are ever to spend a lifetime together.

I found this one a little while ago when I was at work, putting out stock. I don't know why I didn't pick it up then - I think it was knowing just how many books I already have, and guessing how many would be coming my way over Christmas - but I guess I will have to try and get the to-read pile down a little more before I do go out and get it. It's on the wishlist though - so I won't forget about it!

It sounds like a really interesting premise for a novel - although it does sound faintly similar to Andrew Davidson's The Gargoyle, but I really enjoyed that, so I guess it doesn't matter. I'm also thinking that the similarities will only be minor, so it should be a unique read still.

I'm hoping that it will live up to my expectations when I do finally get it on my shelves and read.
Have any of you read it? Let me know what you thought in the comments :)

And also, join in Wishlist Wednesday to let us know what remains on your wishlist after Christmas.

This book really reminds of Fallen by Lauren Kate. Both of their male protagonist are named Daniel and Lucy is a variation of Luce in the Fallen series. Plus, they are separated by time and constantly fall for each other only to be torn apart.

I really love the cover and I think I would like to read this book. I hope it is better than Fallen though.
