Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Goodreads synopsis:
Weird as it is working for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, Evie’s always thought of herself as normal. Sure, her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she's falling for a shape-shifter, and she's the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours, but still. Normal.

Only now paranormals are dying, and Evie's dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She soon realizes that there may be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, but she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

I was so excited for this one when I first heard of it, that I even pre-ordered it so it would arrive ASAP. For one reason or another though, I just haven't come around to reading it yet. I don't know why, it sounds just my kind of thing, really - a really great fantasy novel and a nice escape from all the University work I have to do.
This is another I'm hoping to get read before I go back to University for the second semester.

I'm actually thinking I might read this one next. I'm going to take a one-book-break from the review copy pile and read either this one, or Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. Decisions, decisions....

Dani :)
