In My Mailbox #12

This week's post is going to be a fairly short one, but I shall post anyway, because I love sharing what I received with you, no matter how many or few books I received!
Don't worry - I'll make up for it on Christmas day!
As always, I'll start with the physical books and finish up with the eBooks.

Die for Me by Amy Plum

I have really wanted this one for quite a while. I keep reading loads of really good reviews for it, but I held back because of the amount of books I already have to read. But in the last week one of my friends reviewed the book really positively, and I managed to find it for a bit cheaper than I had before, so I'll admit - I caved and bought it. I can't wait to read it though. I'm going to be waiting until I've got the review book pile down a bit more before I read it, but it will be fairly soon. I'm very excited! I just wish I had more time in my life to read the books I want to read at the moment!

The Plays of Oscar Wilde

I'm a huge fan of Oscar Wilde's work, but I hadn't read all of his plays, so when I saw this copy at work yesterday (and for so cheap), I had to have it. My favourite play of all time is A Woman of No Importance, but my other copy is falling apart, but it's okay now, because it;s in this edition! But I also have the two plays I didn't have a copy of, 'Lady Windermere's fan' and 'An Ideal Husband'. I do already have a copy of 'The Importance of Being Earnest', but I'm not overly keen on it (the pages are far too thin and flimsy). But even though this was a cheap book, the quality of it is fantastic. I love being able to occasionally drop into one of Mr. Wilde's plays - I think I'm going to start with my old favourite first, and then move onto Lady Windermere's Fan after that!

Under Witch Moon by Maria E. Schneider
Please click on the image to view the Smashwords page for this eBook.

After having a very lovely conversation with the talented Michelle Scott (who I've interviewed for the blog), Maria was bought up because a quote from my review of Michelle's Straight to Hell is going to be published in the back of one Maria's new book, which is the sequel to Under Witch Moon. I mentioned that I was interested in the book, and so Maria got hold of me, and I'll now be doing a review of this one too! I'm very excited about reading and reviewing this one - I've wanted to read a bit more Witch-based fantasy recently. Sounds good to me!

Lily by Patricia Gaffney

This is the only one this week that I've had accepted from Netgalley (although I have been requesting less, so this is okay with me). I chose it because it looks like a slightly different read to the books I'm used to reading for review, so it'll make a nice change. It's not that I don't read general fiction, but I haven't done for a while due to reviews for my blog mostly being fantasy or dystopian fiction.
Anyway, this looks like a great read and I'm looking forward to getting around to it.

I have a copy of "Die for Me," but haven't actually gotten around to reading it yet. I've heard some mixed reviews for it, so I'm hoping that I'll enjoy it. Hope you enjoy it too!

Oscar Wilde is amazing! I haven't read any of his plays, only his novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, this year for my English class :)

Well then, Lecea - you definitely need to read A Woman of No Importance! It's my favourite play! :)
