Introducing: The Obsession!

I thought it might be an idea to have a post that shows you in the best way possible, the extent of my book-collecting obsession.
Behold!

The beautiful bookcase.

The bottom drawer - each of the books you see in the drawers have about 3-4 books underneath them as well, just to give a better idea of scale.

Drawer two - I apologise that this one is slightly blurry!

Drawer three - the newest drawer to be freed of clothes and filled with books.

The Ottoman bed - bought simply so I'd have more book storage.

Some of the university books I have for my first semester this year - there are quite a few that I have only on my Kindle (and Persuasion by Jane Austen is also missing as it is on the bed next to me being read). The Romanticism anthology you see there is a bit of a doorstop, coming in at over 1500 pages and weighing probably a little over a ton!

So there you have it! I know I like to be nosey and see what books other people have, so now you can all have a nosey at some of mine. I do have more - a 50 litre box in my wardrobe containing old copies of New Books magazine, some old manga books, some childhood books and a few from my first year of university, and there is a large paper bag full of some books that a friend gave me that simply wouldn't fit anywhere else. So there are around 50 more books on top of all of this lot!! (Plus another 7 I have just noticed sitting on my windowsill).
It's definitely a well loved collection.

Lainy - I had no idea until I was shopping for a new bed, and when I saw this one, I knew it was love!!
Jen, can you see these photos okay then? I know you said you can't see Barry the Mouse properly. I'm going to try re-uploading that photo.

Calum, I'm sure I shall enjoy working on my blog! I'm hoping to be able to work on it a fair amount :)

Haha!! It's all a façade, I promise! I actually tidied the drawers up before taking the photo, and there are usually other things on the bookcase, like a drink coaster because I had the bookcase instead of a bedside-table.
But thank you hun :D I did try - a lot. xxx

The bed is amazing! To think you have all that extra space for books, great idea! Lindsay x

Lindsay, when I saw it that's exactly what I thought. I knew I needed to get a bed that I could at least store books under - I had four big boxes full of books under my bed before, and they all needed to go back under, plus others. I was looking for large drawers before, but when I saw this it was a match made in heaven!
