Barry the house mouse

At the beginning of the week we finally caught the little critter that had been chewing holes in all of my Dad's fishing bait bags!
I would love to introduce to you all, the very cute and adorable, Barry the House Mouse!



We're still not quite sure when we started calling him Barry, but oddly, it does seem to suit him! We kept him in a glass candle holder with a nice, large piece of cheese and a piece of kit kat (which is what, strangely enough, my Dad used to lure him into the mouse trap), and as you can see he definitely preferred the chocolate to the cheese - wasn't quite so sure about the cheese though!!
We waited until later in the day when he would have more cover from the birds etc and time to find himself a little hidey-hole and let him go in the back garden.
We're sure it won't be long until he finds his way back into the garage though.

My twelve-year-old brother has been set off on the "I want a pet mouse" phase since his appearance though. I'm not so sure myself!! He was lovely though.
